8 to 14 days before the tour start date: 50% refund of the total booking value.
4 to 7 days before the tour start date: 25% refund of the total booking value.

Strictly Non-Refundable Services
Machu Picchu & Inca Trail Permits: Entrance tickets issued by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture (Machu Picchu circuits, Huayna Picchu, Huchuy Picchu, Inca Trail permits) are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-endorsable by law once purchased.
Train Tickets & Internal Flights: Tickets issued through PeruRail, Inca Rail, or domestic airlines are subject to the carrier’s specific non-refundable fare rules and cannot be reimbursed.
Third-Party Lodging & Private Transport: Hotel reservations and chartered transportation with restrictive vendor cancellation policies cannot be reimbursed once confirmed.
No-Show & Unused Services
Failure to arrive at the designated pickup location or briefing point on time will be treated as a No-Show, resulting in total forfeiture of the tour cost with no entitlement to a refund or date exchange.
If a traveler decides to abandon a trek, tour, or multi-day package midway due to altitude sickness, personal health, fitness fatigue, or personal choice, no partial refunds will be granted for unconsumed meals, transport, lodging, or guiding services. Any emergency transport or evacuation costs incurred will be the traveler’s financial responsibility.
Force Majeure & Unforeseen Events
Sacred Journey Travel and Tours is not liable for disruptions, delays, or itinerary cancellations resulting from natural disasters (landslides, earthquakes, severe weather), strikes, road blockades, civil unrest, flight cancellations, or governmental mandates.
In the event of force majeure, our operations team will make reasonable efforts to reschedule services, reroute itineraries, or arrange alternative excursions. If a service must be canceled entirely by our company for safety reasons, unused service funds—excluding non-refundable permits, train tickets, and administrative costs—will be credited toward future travel or refunded according to vendor return capabilities.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment within 15 to 30 business days. All international banking fees, transfer taxes, and gateway transaction charges will be deducted from the final refunded sum.
